Larry Mc Guill (1940-2011) Rest in Peace
Larry Mc Guill, Honorary President of Dunleer Athletic Club and founder of Rás na hÉireann International Cross Country sadly passed away on Saturday evening 30th July and the Club is in mourning. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Many thanks to all of our Club members, past and present, who were part of the ceremonies on Wednesday. Larry would have been very proud to see so many friends gathering together to honour his memory. Ní bheidh a leithéad ann arís.
Larry's Months Mind Mass was held in Dunleer on September 3rd.
There are tributes to Larry in the Dundalk Democrat, Drogheda Independent, Meath Chronicle, Evening Herald and the Irish Independent today, 4th August 2011. Tributes are flooding in and I am compiling a list which I will put online. If you wish to pay tribute to Larry or recount a story you would like posted on the website, please email dunleeracwebmaster@gmail.com

Many thanks to Derek Tuite for taking the Rás na hÉireann photographs below. Derek can be contacted at:
derek@derektuitephotography.ie if you wish to order photos from him. He took almost 200 photos on the day.
